Research Funding for New Inventions
in Global Positioning System Devices
Several of the companies we work with develop wireless technologies
for a wide range of applications, from telemetry to tracking
devices. These new technology inventions combine state of
the art cellular radio, position technologies such as Global
Positioning System; (GPS), data processing and communication
protocols. In addition, physical constraints, regulatory specifications
and functional capabilities which include diagnostics and
efficient power management are addressed as design requirements.
Technology Funding by New Tax
Credits
The Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED)
and Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) provide
research funding to companies actively developing experimental
hardware prototypes, firmware and software for wireless new
product developments (or existing product improvements). The
architectural challenges addressed by these new technology
inventions may include: improving the GPS and GSM sensitivity
and data processing intelligence, flexibility and robustness
in the device recharging system and achieving the targeted
signal to noise ratio in the microphone and speaker path.
TSGI Experience
TSGI, located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada has filed numerous
SR&ED claims in the field of GPS new technology inventions.
