Wireless Application Development – Funding and Research
Our experience with companies developing wireless technologies encompasses a wide range of wireless application developments, from telemetry to tracking devices to wireless wifi bluetooth technology developments. These technologies and inventions combine state of the art cellular radio, position technologies such as Global Positioning System (GPS), data processing and communication protocols. In addition, physical constraints, regulatory specifications and functional capabilities which include diagnostics and efficient power management are addressed as design requirements.

Research Funding for Wireless Application Developments
The Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED) and Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) programs provide funding for research to companies actively developing experimental hardware prototypes, firmware and software for wireless application developments. For example, such projects may focus on wireless network research in the development of a high level hardware multiplexer which allows existing off the shelf components to use standard RS232 communication and also enables steering of the information between the central processor and any of these devices, including a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) wireless modem. Other representative wireless application development projects that could be eligible for research funding may include the development of an intelligent machine to machine wireless modems which supports a variety of wireless communications protocols, interfaces to the wireless network through the use of a processor, and is economical and compact.
